Whisky

Utdetuun, homemade single malt, 6 years old € 6,50

Glenkinchie, The Lowlands, 10 years old, 43% Vol. € 6,25

Lowland malts are often soft, smooth and light fruity. Glenkinchie however is known for being the driest and most smoked of all Lowland malts. Because of this soft and dry mouth feel it’s often taken as an alternative to sherry as aperitif. It’s soft in the nose with a pure aroma and lightly coloured. The flavours are very pleasant.

Dalwhinnie, Central Highlands, 15 years old, 43% vol. € 6,00

Dalwhinnie is aromatic and has heather and honey sweet flavours. In the aroma one can find perfume, heather, honey, malts and citrus.

Gragganmore, Speyside, 12 years old, 40% Vol. € 6,20

Gragganmore is rather complex yet has a soft character. In both aroma and flavour malts, peat and smoke are pretty obvious. A little water makes this fine whisky release it’s full character.

Oban, Western Highlands, 14 years old, 43%  Vol. € 6,50

Oban distinguishes itself by it’s well balanced and soft character. Because of it’s unique location this 14 years old malt has the best of both the mainland as the islands. It’s a unique malt with the best of Scotland in it.

Talisker, Isle of Skye, 10 years old, 45,8% Vol. € 6,50

Talisker is unique in character and flavour. Very aromatic and distinguishes itself by the obvious present sea aroma. The flavour is explosive and sparkling with notes of peat and pepper. But on the tongue it releases an elegant sweetness.

Lagavulin, Isle of Islay, 16 years old, 43% Vol. € 6,50

It takes time to appreciate the Lagavulin. But the final reward is worth it. The ultimate pleasure by probably the best malt from Scotland. Unprecedented in both flavour and character. Lagavulin is an explosion of complex flavours and aroma’s that keep developing in the glass. Soft, complex, peat and a soft sweetness.
